A Big Thank You goes to.......

the wonderful Dr. Lashley. He has fixed our baby girl. She should no long have any more UTI's.Her Kidneys are not refluxing anymore. Today was her last test. We went up to the hospital for an ultrasound....they off to see him for the results. He said that "Everything looks wonderful, and she can go off her meds." Can I tell you how happy I am to hear that. The best part is he gave Kimy a hug and said "Thanks you for letting me take care of your little girl." What a wonderful Doctor.
Kimy all smiles that she does not need her meds anymore.

Showing off her scar. Not to bad and she loves to show it off. She has been a very brave girl through this whole process.

It is so hard to say Goodbye.....

On May 22nd 2008, my Mother in law lost her 13 month battle to Cancer. She went into the Lord's arms peacefully, I know because I was lucky to be with her when she took her last breath on our Earth. I held her hand and felt her pulse slip away. It was one of the most sad and amazing things I have ever been a part of.
This was outside the chapel where we said our last Goodbye's.

Kassidy wait patiently waiting for the tire to be changed. Yes we got a flat tire on the way to the cemetery. Talk about not having a good day.
Chris and Pat, the wonderful ODOT employee who helped us change said tire on the side of the freeway. We are so grateful to him.
Chris and Dennis taking Ann the her final resting place. We are all sad to have lost her. She fought a tough fight and is now in a much better place.
Kimy and Joey playing outside of the Church. They still don't understand that Grandma is not her anymore. I know that will get it at some point.

I helped make some of the prayer cards for the service and family members. One of the poems I found really hit hard, so I thought I would share it with you.

We thought of you today.

But that is nothing new.

We thought of you yesterday

And will tomorrow, too.

We think of you in silence

And make no outward show.

For what it meant to loose you

Only those who love you know.

Remembering you is easy.

We do it everyday.

It's the heartache of losing you

That will never go away.

Not Me Monday............

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

So this is a first for me, but I thought I would give it a try.....maybe it will become
a regular thing, we shall see. So here goes.......

I being a great Mom would never ever not blog about my wonderful middle daughter's
9th birthday. Nope not me! I would never ever forget to do that.

I would also never have my husband take me to the E.R. in the middle of the night and
not tell our oldest daughter that we were leaving. I would never be in that much pain,
that I remember in a drug induced stupor to text her in the wee hours of the morning.
Nope! Not I! Never, Ever.

I also would never give into my kids and let them have another kitten to add to the house.
Nope, I am a Mom and never give into them. I also didn't melt when I saw said sweet little
kitten and not fall instantly in love. I would never do that.

I also would never be so busy enjoying the wonderful weather this weekend that I did not take one single picture of said weather. Or enjoy me kids so much that I would rather lay on the
couch watching cartoons with them than cleaning house. I am also not looking forward to
sending the twins to Kindy in the fall, because I will not have as much time with them.
Nope not me!

GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?

This little girl is so happy because we are home now. The Doctor said she could go home as long as she keeps up with her fluids. As I type this she is resting and watching a movie.

Today is a new day.....

So today has been a much better day. We were up at 4am for vitals, we were still up when Dr. Lashley came by at 5am. He said all looks well. As long things continue to go well, we should be heading home at about 4pm. She was up when Dr. Lashley came by and then the nurse came by a bit after that. We were trying to get her to eat some, so she got to have a Popsicle.
Enjoying a Popsicle at 5:45 am.......what a great day to start the day.
Enjoying her breakfast. After breakfast, the nurses came by and took out her cath. After that we got to go for a walk.
Daddy fixing her pants so we could walk.

Then we walked down to play in the playroom and played with Joey for a while.
She loved being able to ride the bike and play. Then it was back to the room for a bit of a rest. She is now enjoying lunch and feeling better.

Another update.......

So this afternoon has not gone to well. Things have started to go downhill after this loving moment. Daddy and Joey gave hugs and kisses and had to leave. She started crying off and on a bit after that. She wanted to go home and be with them at home. It is so hard watching her cry and knowing that I can't make it better right now for her.
Daddy and Joey saying goodbye.

Coloring for a bit after they left. It is a little hard to color with your left hand when you are right handed. I love the look of great concentration on her face.

Shortly after this is me laying in her bed for snuggles, she had started crying that she wanted to go home and see her Dad. She also did not want to have surgery (to bad it was already done)

Enjoying a Popsicle.....this made her stop crying for a bit. It also turned her mouth purple.
But purple is her favorite color.
He is where things got even worse for her.....She had thrown up shortly before this. She didn't want to change her clothes, or her sheets. She was in more pain and just overall not happy. She is back on clear liquids......she was up to applesauce and toast before. Tomorrow Dr. Lashley will be in at 5am to see her and let us know if we can go home tomorrow. Continued prayers are appreciated. Thanks a ton. I am off to try to get some sleep as she is now sleeping. But they come in every couple of hours to do vitals so we shall see.

quick update

Kimy is awaked and has been for about an hour. She is doing great. Eating crackers and
drinking water......a little bit of Sprite also. She has also been coloring. She was able to wake
up before Daddy had to leave. So she got hugs and kisses before he and Joey had to head
home to get the older girls picked up from school. I will post some pictures soon, but I have to
jet......Kimy is crying that she wants to go home.
