WE HAVE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So they have been predicting snow all weekend....it has been cold but no snow until today. We have snow and it is sticking. The kids are so excited. They had to get dressed and get in it. Then after a bit we came in for hot chocolate and marshmallows.
Oreo need to investigate the snow....we think he was trying to find a way to get it. It was moving so he must get it.
I love how wonderful things look covered in snow.

A snow angel made my Kimy or Kassidy.

Decorating our tree

So after we got the tree home and in the stand I put on the lights and let the kids go. I always put white lights on my tree. All of our ornaments have a story behind them, belong to the kids, or are home made. I think the white lights showcase them better. I was really fun to watch the twins this year. They liked picking out their ornaments and telling me all about them.
The kids decorating the tree. Also a close up of the tree. I need to get some more pictures of the tree. I didn't get as many as I thought.
Oreo was trying to help. He thought the paper was in the way I guess. I have caught him several times trying to carry paper in his mouth.

Getting the Perfect Tree......

Also on Saturday we decided to go get a tree, we went later in the afternoon, and it was perfect timing. In true Oregon fashion it rained the next day. Once again we went to Loch Lolly in North Plains to pick out the perfect tree.
There was much discussing and bickering about what the perfect tree looked like and of course how tall it should be.
Kimy enjoyed romping through the trees finding one her size. Everyone but Joey thought that was to small. The did try to talk us into two trees so they could put one in their room.

Here it is the Perfect tree for us this year. A 7 foot Nobel Fir. Meghan got the job of helping Dad cut it down this year. By the way Meghan did say it was okay to cut it down.....she is quite the environmentalist you know.

Of Course Santa was there to see the kids. Kimy and Joey were the only ones to sit on his lap. Meghan this it is not cool and for some reason Kassidy has never been one to talk to Santa.

Joey showing us he is all Boy and super Strong.
Tomorrow I will post pictures of the tree all done.

Festival Of Trees...

As I said before we had a pretty busy weekend. On Saturday we went to the festival of trees at the convention center. We went with some friends of our and rode the MAX downtown. I think that was the kids favorite part. It was nice to walk around and check out all of the different trees. There was also lots for the kids to do. Crafts and fixing their bears. They each got a bear and then got to fix it all up. I enjoyed checking out all of the trees.

A couple of our favorite trees. They are auctioned off and the money goes to charity. All in all we had a wonderful time. A great way to get in the holiday mood.

New pictures of the kids

This weekend was a busy one for us. We had a lot to do and tons of fun doing it. Saturday being the busiest day, more about that in my next post. On Sunday I took the kids in for their yearly picture together. I do this every year around Christmas time. I like to see how they have grown. It amazes me they changes they have made this year. Meghan has gotten taller and is looking more like a young woman. Kassidy's hair has gotten curlier and she has also gotten taller. Kimy looks more like a kid and less like a baby, we also grew out her bangs. Joey has gotten bigger still a little crooked, but not as noticeable.
This was my favorite shot, they look like they enjoy being together and don't want to hit each other.......that is some what the case part of the time. They are all smiling and looking at the camera. Who knew taking 4 kids in to have pictures done could be so hard.
